This very pretty house and gîte are in a well-kept hamlet of six houses; just outside Romagne in the Vienne which is in the largest region of France; Nouvelle Aquitaine.
The first records of the house are from 1837, but locals believe it is much older. For the past 18 years it has been owned by the couple selling now and they have renovated over the years to give themselves a nice 3-bedroom house and a one bedroom gîte.
The village of Romagne is literally a 400m walk away from the hamlet and has/will have (local funding provided) a bar and a local producers market shop.
Romagne has excellent transport links to Poitiers, Angouleme, Niort and Limoges and it is only a 1 hour 30-minute drive to La Rochelle, with many other popular attractions even closer, giving plenty of places for your guests to visit.
Poitiers airport and train station are a 40km’s from Romagne; Limoges airport is 97km’s. Trains at Epanvilliers (10 km) will take you into Poitiers where you have cross platform TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux and other French cities plus Brussels and London (via Lille).
The house has Broadband, Mains Water, Electricity and drainage is to a fosse; Gas (Bottled), Oil Fired Central Heating and a wood burning fire. It has a mixture of single/secondary and double glazing.
The average broadband speed in this area is 30-100Mbps.
