The owners bought in 2000 and immediately turned an old run-down building with workshop into a very special 3-bedroom home, with inground pool (8 x 4m) and a 6 x 6m garage with summer kitchen leading out to a BBQ area.
They chose well with their location as they are very central to most amenities, the nearest supermarket is a pleasant 13km drive the nearest train stations are around 18kms away with the options of direct trains into Paris, Limoges, Poitiers, with connections to Bordeaux, London & Brussels. Limoges’s airport is a 45-minute drive from the house. Add all that to the even shorter distance to the main road links and you have a location which has everything yet gives the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere it is so peaceful and quiet there.
The house has mains water, electricity; drainage is to a septic tank. It is double glazed with fly nets on many of the windows.
Heating is a wood burning fire, which works very well due to the open plan design of the house.
The garage has a summer kitchen and a mezzanine, it is almost a little house in itself!
