The closest town with services and amenities is Nantiat only 4kms away there you will find doctors, chemists, gym, supermarket, Boulangerie etcetera.

Also, in Nantiat you can also take a train into Poitiers or Limoges. In Poitiers you have cross platform TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux and other French cities plus Brussels and London (via Lille). In Limoges you have links to the south of France including Bordeaux with its international airport.
